In these challenging and changing times — disorienting, fragmented, and sometimes quite exhausting — we can easily lose focus and energy for accomplishing our best work.
From a brief review of self-management basics, we will consider and share ideas for staying organized, energized, and focused on our work priorities.
We will use the complex, multi-faceted lens of social identity to gain understanding about ourselves and others. By examining our cultural backgrounds and where others come from, we strengthen the foundation for effective workplace collaboration and personal growth. Part 1: Foundations — how humans think; social identity, inclusion, and “cultural competence.” Part 2: Stories of Identity — considering stories of identity to connect prior concepts with lived realities, and to illuminate pathways forward.
Participants will learn about research findings to identify four key qualities that strengthen connection — four timeless qualities that seem especially relevant in these challenging times. Based on these findings, session participants will explore how they can apply this knowledge to strengthen collaboration and leadership in their own organizational setting.
