One-On-One Coaching

Together we will examine your situation, develop your vision, and determine realistic paths for your growth. I will serve as your tour guide to effectiveness, and my role will be to listen, provide feedback, and share insights from appropriate conceptual frameworks. I will help you consider new perspectives and plan effective steps for development. As needed I can draw from my training experiences with three different tools — Strengths Based Leadership, Leadership Matters conflict styles, and the Intercultural Development Inventory.

Strengths Based Leadership

Everyone has distinctive talents; no one has them all. The key is understanding your particular strengths, embracing how they can function for you, and then determining how to intentionally apply them on behalf of your goals.

Since 2017 I have helped numerous groups and individuals understand their own strengths, using the framework and insights developed by Gallup® and Strengths Based Leadership, a book by Tom Rath, and the accompanying Clifton StrengthsFinder®.

I enjoy helping others claim their the natural gifts and think about how their strengths can be applied intentionally.

Approaches to Conflict

We are not robots, and we don’t work and play with robots. We are unique individuals with distinctive ideas, agendas, motivations, styles, identities, backgrounds and strengths. So the question becomes, how do we productively work through the inevitable conflicts of living and working with others?

Featuring the Style Matters™ assessment and framework, we will identify your natural approach to conflict, examine the dynamics of conflict situations, and practice effective conflict approaches for specific interactions.

  • Since 2010 I have used Ron Kraybill’s Style Matters™ assessment materials to help dozens of groups and individuals.

Intercultural Development

There can be a variety of reasons you want to understand, explore and improve your ability to work well with people from different cultural backgrounds. As a Qualified Administrator of the Intercultural Development Inventory®, I can help you explore where you stand on a continuum of intercultural competence and identify practical steps for development.
